“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something like volunteer. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”
Home For Life recruits, trains and supports volunteers to provide assistance to people who will benefit from volunteer help to stay in their homes for as long as possible. We match volunteers with clients to ensure the best fit.

Friendly Visiting
Many of our clients enjoy one-on-one visiting in their own homes. A friendly conversation, a cup of tea, board games or a game of cards would brighten their day. Other friendly visiting positions would include café and social outings.
Coffee Socials
Volunteers and their clients attend weekly coffee socials in their communities.
Grocery Shopping Assistance
We have a few clients who require help with grocery shopping. Some want company when visiting the grocery store and others would rather have the volunteer shop for the groceries for them. These clients also need assistance with bringing the groceries into their homes.
Driving to Local Appointments
Some clients rely on volunteers to drive them to local area social gatherings, programs and health related appointments.
